Go for NITS any day. If you look at the ranking also it is ahead but this year also MHRD ranked it above NITA.
The top branches here at NITS are CSE, ECE, mechanical, electrical, civil.

Silchar does not have any good institute to pursue MBA. You need to come out of your comfort zone and look options in other part such as IIM-Shillong (need CAT percentile of 98% and above) or IIFT-Kolkata or other institutes in east India.

It is a good university and studies is also very good. For placements, you may get opportunity there however, on posting your resume to various job placement sites, you may get good jobs as you will have good knowledge of the subjects.
