NIT Silchar outscores NIT Agartala in terms of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2022 in the Engineering category. NIT Silchar was ranked 38, whereas, NIT Agartala was ranked 80 in the year 2022 by NIRF. However, academically, there is not much difference between the two.
