SUTD does take an interview as an application process. Considering it’s acceptance rate is just 36%, that means only 36 students are only selected out of 100. The university seeks diverse students who demonstrate excellent academic grades and well-rounded individuals involved with extracurricular activities showcasing unique talent and experiences in their portfolio. Although the SUTD acceptance rate is competitive, applicants are evaluated for overall performance and not just particulate in one segment. Remember to give your best and emphasise your skills and talents that come in handy to SUTD interview.

Yes SUTD is affiliated with MIT and totally focuses on the development of students, MIT faculty played a significant role in developing a blueprint for the curriculum, including a structure for the curriculum and the degrees to be offered. More than 90% of our undergraduate curriculum was originally developed by MIT in SUTD. However, SUTD and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) signed a collaboration agreement in January 2010, covering both education and research endeavours, which concluded in June 2017 and June 2021 respectively.
