If you're asking about the placements for computer science at Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, you've made several right choices already. There are a lot of companies which come for computer science students since Bangalore itself has a lot of IT companies. There is a wide range of salary packages, here, on behalf of the companies that come. They range from 2.4 Lacs per annum (Accenture, IBM) to 21 Lacs per annum (Unitech Transfer). Since you're looking for civil engineering, and placements are the priority, I'd suggest you to look for other colleges. As far as civil engineering is concerned, they are one of the least preferred departments when it comes to campus placements. This year, there are only two out of the fourteen companies which have come so far, which are asking for civil engineering students. It depends on what your CET or ComedK rank is, not entirely on your board marks. There is a weightage given to your board marks only in CET not ComedK.
