Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a common written test conducted for admissions to various undergraduate programmes offered by Institutes of Symbiosis International Deemed University. Through SET, the engineering aspirants can take admission into Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT), which offer courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering.
SET 2018 Eligibility criteria for SET 2018 is different for Indian students and International Students. Here are the details on eligibility criteria for the exam.
Indian Students
Applicants must pass 10+2 exams with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with chemistry/ biotechnology/ biology/ technical vocational subject.
He/she must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
Good score in an entrance examination like SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test), JEE-Main or MHT-CET conducted in the year 2018

This is the eligibility criteria for SET exam : a) The candidates must have Master's Degree recognised by U.G.C. Candidates having Post Graduate Diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/Institute or Foreign degree/Diploma/certificate awarded by the Foreign University/Institute should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their Diploma/degree/certificate with Master's degree of recognised Indian Universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi (www.aiuweb.org) b) The candidates other than SC/ST/OBC/SBC/DT/NT category, who have secured at least 55% marks (without gracing or rounding off) in Masters or equivalent examination, are eligible for this test. OBC/SBC/DT/NT [belonging to non-creamy layer] and SC/ST/PH/VH (PH-Physically Handicapped. VH-Visually Handicapped I.e. Blind) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without gracing or rounding off) in Masters or equivalent examination are eligible for this test. C) Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying (final) Masters degree examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible to apply for the SET Examination. Such candidates who clear SET Examination will be issued the certificate after they have passed their Masters Degree examination or equivalent examination with at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH/VH and OBC/SBC/DT/NT [belonging to non-creamy layer] category candidates) and submit their P.G. Mark sheet within two years from the date of declaration of result of the SET examination. You must choose the subjects considering your interests.
