1. Always be thorough with the basics. Clear your doubts from time to time.
2. Work on your shortcuts and tricks for solving questions quickly.
3. Hone your mental calculations; practice regularly for best results.
4. Analyse all sectional tests & mocks seriously and work on your mistakes.
5. Never panic. Believe in yourself of clearing the exam.
6. Go through past years' papers to get clear idea about the type and variety of questions asked.

You have to take the IELTS for English language requirements. There could be other tests such as SAT or ACT etc. depending on where and what you are planning to study.

With such low scores, it is impossible to get a good college. I suggest you reappear for these(and/or any other exams) and try to get a better score. Good luck!

If you are a general category, you need to score 90 percentile to be on safer side. Though, I know few of my batch mates belonging to general category between 85 and 90, but the number is not high, and you don't know, when the game can change.
