B.Tech placements at School of Petroleum Technology (SPT), Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University are strong, with consistently high placement rates and attractive salary packages. The average placement rate over the past few years is 90% and 100% placement for B.Tech. Petroleum Engineering in 2023. For B.Tech. programmes, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) provides a number of scholarships, one of which is the Merit Scholarship, which waives all tuition costs for students beginning with their first semester. Students will receive a full tuition waiver if they are admitted based on the following ACPC and JEE Main rank banks for different courses. Students pursuing a BTech can also apply for specific merit scholarships from the institution. Either ACPC or All-India seats are used to admit students. Unfortunately, getting into School of Petroleum Technology, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University with an 86 percentile in JEE Mains is unlikely, especially for the B.Tech. Petroleum Engineering program. The minimum percentile required generally falls within the 95-99 range, depending on your category and seat type. However, there might be a chance for the B.Tech. Petrochemical Engineering program, where the cut-off may be slightly lower.

School of Petroleum Technology at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University accepts only Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores for admission to its B.Tech programs. There is no alternative entrance exam accepted. For the B.Sc. (Hons.) program, students must have passed the 12th standard examination from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. Additionally, students with less than 70% score in the respective board examination at the time of admission will not be eligible for admission.
