According to my thinking, just search for those college which fulfill your requirements according to your condition, capabilities etc. If you are financial eligible then focus on private colleges and if not and you are scholar also then you can go for Government colleges. But at the end just focus for those colleges which provide you better Placement. And you can get the list of these colleges from either Shiksha.com or the official website of HRD Ministry.

According to my opinion, don't go according to the name and fame of college name. Just search for that college which offers you good placement and best practical knowledge. And you can refer the list of those colleges either from Shiksha.com or the website of HRD ministry.

Unfortunately, arts students are not eligible for engineering courses. It is mandatory to opt for PCM to get eligible for engineering courses.
