Hope you are doing well. There is no special eligibility criteria for IIIT's. It will be decided purely by your JEE Main score. IIT's are very good colleges, because they come under INI's (Institutes of national importance). If you are not getting a seat in IIT go for NIT after that select IIT. Moreover, it also depends on the branch you wish to select. Some IIIT's are better in specific branches in comparison to NIT's.

Students seeking admission to B.Sc. should have obtained an aggregate of 60% marks in the subjects concerned, i. e., Physical Science, Biological Science / Mathematics.

As per the American Education System, after 12th standard, you need to do 4 years of Bachelor's Degree- BS. And then after 2 year of MS. So, if you are going there to do Master's degree then yes you can complete your software engineering in 2 years.

It is not necessary, but after doing graduation in any specialisation programme, you get more value and scope in comparison to class 12th or 10th pass aspirants. If you have no B.Tech degree then you can go for various short-term certificate course by which you can learn more about this field because, for a job, you need to have a proper knowledge about the field.
