You have following options to pursue your career as a software engineer:
(a) B.Tech in CSE or IT
(b) BCA
(c) B.Sc in CS or IT
(d) Diploma in CASE
(e) Short-term courses in programming from computer training institutes.
B.Tech in CSE is the best option among the recommended paths to become a software engineer. You may refer to the following link for the list of top CSE colleges in India:

Hi,
I appreciate your interest in the computer. SRM University and VIT University will be the best option for you. Those are the best colleges not only in the Tamil Nadu but all over India. You can go for BCA or B.Tech in CSE.

If you are interested in pursuing Bachelor level courses in software engineering, you must have studied 12th with PCM and after completing your 10+2, you can you can opt for BE or B.Tech in CSE or B.Sc IT, B.Sc CS or BCA programmes.

Hi Zai,
Every branch has their own importance. If you want to become a software engineer, then you can go for CSE or IT branch. Whereas, if you want to pursue aeronautics, then you can go for aeronautical engineering.

With the boom in the digital world software engineering in a very good choice. You could take a Bachelor degree in computer Science, computer information systems, software engineering or mathematics. All the Bachelor courses shall be for 4 years and then you could pursue a Masters if you want to specialise further. There is also an option for associate degrees and diplomas which are for a shorter period but they don't get you a decent paying job.
The highest paying programming languages are Java, Python, R, Swift etc. SO please choose wisely the languages you would like to excel in.

For study purpose, both London and Canada are very good options. However, if you are looking from job perspective I will vote for Canada as UK or hub London is very tough with international graduates now.

This is the course that most students pursue once they complete their engineering. This course has many takers because of the job opportunities that it has to offer. Every CS engineer is trained in software engineering during graduation and post graduation degrees. No polytechnic offers Diploma in software engineering.
