Hello,No, the software testing is not a good career for the one who has done his graduation in Electronics and communication engineering. To learn Software Testing, you should learn the programming, coding, HTML, computer languages etc. And, just think of that if you are entering in IT field, then what is the point to do B.Tech in ECE? So, I don't suggest you to go for Software Testing. I would recommend you to go for any core electrical job in any electrical company like Reliance Electrical, Synergy, etc. Here, you cannot just apply your theoretical knowledge, but also you can explore the further path in which you have to move on. There is no prerequisite to learn manual testing but an understanding of basics of computer and information technology is good. For manual testing, you also require good domain knowledge such as Finance, healthcare, etc. In order to learn testing automation, you require strong programming expertize in at least one programming and scripting language.

Hello,
Both the job roles you have mentioned are potential career options and most sought for in the IT sector. Both the courses offer high salary and high career growth, however, based on the current conditions, the testing sector in the IT field currently is over-saturated. There are a huge number of potential candidates than the actual job vacancies. On the other hand, software development is a bit more difficult as it involves more innovation. Being difficult, many candidates are not able to make it till the end, but if one is able to do, it surely has far more opportunities compared to a Software Tester.

There is no specific course or college for software testing. You can study abroad and become a DBA.
