There are various exams accepted by Sound Engineering in India like CUET, IPMAT, SAT and MAHCET. Basic eligibility for this course stands as following:The eligibility criterion to apply for the graduation programme is a pass in the Class 12 exam in Science disciplines. Aspirants should have done the qualification course from a certified University with Maths as a subject. In addition, they are required to attend an entrance exam so as to get admissions in the bachelors' course. Graduates in sound engineering who have cleared the Postgraduate entrance exam can opt for the post graduation programs in sound engineering.

For sound engineering, candidate's need to have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Physics as a subject at senior secondary (10+2) level also they will have to qualify in the written examination of the Joint Entrance Test (JET) of 3 hours duration for 100 marks, conducted at examination centres around the country.
