1. If the current course is done after doing graduation then a Post-Graduation in Mass Communication/Mass Media/Media Production can also be good for you. I shall not hesitate to suggest even a Master Degree in A Language- English, Hindi or the one you see as an additional strength for editing and proofreading works.

Audio-video editing requires a candidate to not only learn the intricacies of the software, but also learn minor things like how to dump an audio/video file from the camera/any other recording equipment to the computer. This isn't something one can mug up from text books or internet because it requires the concerned person to learn the skills over time and enhance them for the better under able guidance of the teachers who can help in sorting of the pros and cons one needs to take care of during editing.

Ideally, there should be no confusion at all. Because, after the completion of any course you should join a job to test 'How' you have learned that course. My advise will be to go for a job and then after for higher studies. (#) Doing a job will give you the more relevant knowledge of this field. (#) You can save a big chunk of money to cope up with the major and minor expenses of your studies. You have just studied the video editing, hence there are many possibilities that you are unaware of the real projects that a company faces. 1. Video Editing is a single dimensional area where one shall work FOR the Advertising Management industry as well as for the Public Relationship work as well.
2. Editing is more of a Desk Job whereas Advt and PR Management is a comprehensive profile. The former keeps you in the later takes you to.field and vast areas of Public Interaction.
