UG (B.Tech) admissions are conducted through the common entrance test (EAPCET) by the Andhra Pradesh state government. While 70% of the seats allotted are based on merit in EAPCET, 30% of the seats are earmarked for Management Quota. In addition, the Engineering Diploma holders, based on their merit at ECET (FDH), are admitted into Lateral Entry (II year B.Tech Courses) to the tune of 20% of the total intake.

With a 39,500 rank, you might not be admitted to the Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE). It is unlikely you will get into the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) branch with an Andhra Pradesh EAMCET rank. This college allots admission preferably on the basis of TNEA rank. The CSE branch is one of the most popular SVCE branches, and the cut-off rank is usually less than 2,000, regardless of the type of exam. The TNEA cutoff rank for BE Computer Science and Engineering was approximately 2606 in 2021.

Hi, Comparing both the institutions, it's a tough decision to take one. So, I would like to say good things at both the colleges. SRM and SVCE both were found in 1985 and both were located in Tamilnadu. SVCE is affiliated to Anna University. If we SEE the placements of both colleges over the past 5years, they have been constantly pushing themselves to create better opportunities for the students. The highest package at SRM Chennai is 1crore (the latest) and at SVCE it was 46.7 LPA. So placements were good at SRM compared to SVCE. Coming to the NIRF ranking, In the overall category, SRMIST has been ranked at 36th position in the NIRF ra

For CSE and ECE, your chances are less as per the last year closing rank, Apart from those branches, definitely, you can get a seat in SVCE.
