If you are interested in setting up a career in marketing or finance, SRM is a good place for you to do MBA. We do get some good companies like:
Deloitte for finance -16 students - Rs. 5.35 lakhs per year.
TCS BPS- HR - 1 student - Rs 5.5 lakhs.
Abbot Health Care - Marketing - 5 students - Rs 5.53 lakhs.
Idea - Marketing - 4 Students (approximately. )- Rs. 5 lakhs.
Royal Bank of Scotland- Finance - 43 Students (Forty-Three) - Just 2.2 lakhs.
The given packages are tentative. This changes on your talent and company too.

Hi Avijeet,
Your question is incomplete, as you haven't mentioned about the stream of engineering for the placement comparison. It is quite an important factor as the Institute's placement varies according them. However, if BE in Computer Science & Engineering is considered, the comparison can be like
BITS>Manipal University>VIT>UPES>SRM>KIIT.

As far as universities are concerned, the criterion are:
1] The recognition.
2] The quality of delivery [which is measured by the level of placements.
On above criterion, VIT stands first, then comes Manipal University & SRM. Today, the admission is also tough at VIT, because of its significant growth in positive word of mouth. Above all, it is always an individual's effort.

It depends on the campus you are getting, if you get VIT Vellore then no doubt you go there, but if you are getting VIT Chennai I'll suggest you to go to SRM (main campus) because the campus life is too low and strictness is too damn high for you to enjoy. But yes, when it comes to placement and international recognition both VIT are equal and better than SRM.

As a student of TSM, I would recommend you to adopt Thiagarajar School OF Management, as fees is lower. You will be learning Mba course in Madurai, a place where you can save most of your pocket money. Placement is comparatively lower than SRM, but if you have a never-give-up spirit, you will extract value from wherever you work.
In terms of cost of studying do in TSM, if you are looking for more expertise and better packages do in SRM.

Hi Akashdeep, The overall fees for B.E course at BITS Pilani including hostel is about 16.5-17 Lacs. VIT and SRM are having fees about 12 Lacs for all four years overall.
All the best.
