It will be better, but if you pursue integrated course then you will get M.Tech degree also, but you will lose a chance to do M.Tech from IITs, which you will get through GATE after B.Tech. Otherwise, VIT is also a good college to do this course. It is ranked under top 10 by MHRD.*
Lastly, think well and decide yourself.

Admission into SRM University for any course depends on you rank at SRMJEEE 2016.
By cut-off, I assume you're asking about the minimum rank required to get admission. This minimum rank cannot be predicted to an exact number but only an approximate number as it keeps changing every year.
As per last year's statistics, the minimum rank required to get admission into SRM-Main Campus for CSE under merit Category-A(tuition fee of INR 1.96Lakhs/annum) is around 6000.

VIT acquired rank 1 among all the private colleges of India so VIT is good than SRM University so if you are getting admission in VIT Vellore, then go for it.

Both the colleges are good but I would suggest you to choose SRM University. The placement is very high, especially for computer science engineering and IT. Campus is good too.
