Between these two colleges I feel that SRM, Chennai is a better option. Facilities and faculty both are reportedly better. In addition, the placement cell functions very well.

Yes, SRM offers diploma courses in different branches. This was established in 1996. Diploma is offered in CSE also in which you are interested. I am giving link which will enable you to have full information:

MMMU - Gorakhpur is a government college. The placement is also good. KIIT - Bhubaneswar is also a decent college. The highest package offered last year was Rs.26 LPA. There were 11 companies, which visited and offered the average package of Rs.10 LPA.
For CSE branch, Galgotia is also a best university. The placement is good. Then, you can consider VIT and SRM.

Both are top in ranking and due to these factors, which you have mentioned, I would suggest you to prefer VIT - Vellore as a first option, and then you can go for SRM.
