Both the universities mentioned by you (Amity University, GD Goenka University) are equally good. But before you take a hasty decision, it is very important to consider the following parameters:
1. Eligibility:-
Amity University- Candidate must be a graduate or postgraduate in Science /Social Science / Humanity from a recognised University having aggregate 55%. Candidates having B.E. / B.Tech degree in Science/ Mathematics having aggregate 50% are also eligible.
GD Goenka University- Candidate must have completed Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% of marks from recognised university/institute. Also, you will have to apply to Goenka Aptitude Test for Admission (GATA).
2. Affiliation / Recognition:-
Amity University-NAAC 'A' Grade and GD Goenka University-NCTE approved.
3. Course highlight:-
Amity University:- The lecturers are experts in their fields and are clearly enthusiastic about their subjects. The course structure is particularly the combination of seminars, lectures, and tutorials within small groups that will give you an opportunity for discussion and full engagement with the course content. You'll gain a deep insight into education by learning the role of a professional educator, the new changes in the education system and a lot more.
GD Goenka University- The programme focuses on initiating and enhancing educational discourse by organizing seminars, debates, lectures and discussions for student teachers. The highlights of the Programme are to make the student- teachers organize and participate in intra-institutional and inter-institutional activities on themes of educational significance. A participatory teaching approach is adopted to help student teachers develop reflective thinking and questioning skills. The focus is also on developing research aptitude and critical thinking. Also, if possible go through the alumni speak section to get an idea what the alumni has to say about the institute. The Training and Placement Unit of both the Institutes are responsible for providing world class job opportunities after the completion of the course for suitable jobs in the industry and various private and public sector organizations. No institute can guarantee you placements. It's just purely based on how you utilize your abilities and skills at the right time. I would suggest you to contact the training and placement department personally for accurate numbers.

Based on my experience, SRMJEEE and VITEE: VITEEE:-Physics: As per my observation, the weightage of class 12 was around 60%. Focus was on Mechanics, Electrodynamics and Modern Physics. Chemistry: There were a good amount of questions from Physical Chemistry. Inorganic had a less share. Organic was based on that of class 12. Both, class 11 and 12 had roughly equal weightage. Mathematics: The focus was on Coordinate Geometry and Calculus. I think class 12 had a greater representation. English: All the questions were from NCERT textbook of class 12SRMJEEE:-Physics: Most of the questions were direct and theoretical. Here too, weightage of class 12 was around 60%. Here also, the focus points were same as that of VITEEE. Chemistry: There was almost equal number of questions from all the three branches. Class 12 had higher weightage. Mathematics: Here too, it Coordinate Geometry and Calculus stole the show. Both the classes had roughly equal weightage. Keep one thing in mind, these exams are held online and have various slots. So you cant form any general trend for these exams. That is why, I would advise you to not think a lot about trends in these exams. It may back.

I don't think so. There are no phases in the counseling to begin with. You get slot depending on your rank, could be either on the first day or the second day or the third and so on. Also, you do get a refund of the amount you paid during the counseling. Depending on your 12th Physics, Chemistry and Math GPA, you would be allotted a campus, say if you get 65% above you'd be allowed to choose the main campus and after that, when you go to the campus and register yourself in the desired branch, they make you fill a form which compels you to pay the entire tuition fees if you plan on dropping out of the college in the mid. Do pay attention to that form. Good luck.

First see your priority like if you want to enjoy city life then go to Bangalore and if you want to experience college life and you surely want to learn something come to SRM Chennai. The reasons are as follows
1) just because it does not offer you better placement it will help you to expand as an true engineer it gives you immense amount of opportunity within the campus only.
2) BMSCE may be among the top ten colleges of Karnataka but SRM is among top 5 colleges in India. So choice is yours?
3) SRM gives you the opportunity to go abroad it has tie ups with top notch universities of the world like MIT carnege Mellon and lot more which I am sure BMSCE can't afford that much.
4) SRM has a very happening campus their timings are also not very tiresome you get many classes off in a day.
5) It has huge number of clubs like camber racing (manufacturer of f1 cars). SRM SAT they make satellite. Camber racing has won 2nd prize Asia for their design and marketing strategy.
6) Lot of prominent personalities use to visit our campus on regular basis. The most recent was the business tycoon Ratan Tata and CEO of hero motto corp and many more.I think this much is enough to understand the difference between SRM and BMSCE.
