It's simple. The qualification required for admission to SRMIST varies depending on the programme you are interested in. However, here are some of the general eligibility requirements: A pass in 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination or any other equivalent examination of any authority recognised by SRMIST with a minimum of 60% aggregate/ percentage of marks.In addition to the above, all applicants must meet the following requirements: Be a citizen of India or a foreign national with a valid visa. Over the past few years, the SRM Institute of Science and Technology has been ranked under multiple streams namely Management, Engineering, Computer Application, pharmacy, and others. SRM University Kattankulathur ranked 18 under the University category by NIRF 2023, and 36 under the 'Overall' and 'Research Institutions' categories, respectively. In the same NIRF 2023 Rankings, the institute is ranked 14 for Architecture, 15 for Pharmacy and 20 for Medical categories as well. All in all, the deemed university is one of the only universities of the country to have ranked top under most of the categories.

SRM University Kattankulathur has a wide array of faculty comprising of more than 500 teaching staff and more than 1,500 non-teaching staff. Most of the faculty members are highly qualified and Ph.D. holders from some of the top institutes across the world. Many other international faculty visit the campus for guest lectures for academic and research purposes on an ongoing basis. This gives both the students and the faculty greater opportunities for mutual interaction and learning.

SRM Kattankulathur, through various colleges and departments, offers UG, PG, Ph.D. Diploma, and other courses to students across Management, Architecture, Engineering, and other streams. The deemed university also offers distance education through the Directorate of Distance Education and online courses to students. Some of them are the College of Engineering & Technology, the SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (SRM MCHRC), SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital, College of Management, College of Science & Humanities, College of Law, SRM College of Agriculture Sciences, and others.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology has collaborated with various universities, industries, and colleges. For this, SRM University has signed MoUs with several organisations and companies. Yes, SRM University offers distance education and online courses to students. The SRM Kattankulathur, through various colleges and departments, offers UG, PG, Ph.D. Diploma, and other courses to students across Management, Architecture, Engineering, and other streams. All the regular and distance education courses are approved by UGC (University Grants Commission) and AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). .
