No, SRMIST Chennai BCA course admission is merit-based. Hence, there is no entrance examination for admissions. The institute admits candidates to the UG programme based on merit in the last qualifying examination, i.e., Class 12 or relevant Diploma. The aspirants must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Students who have passed Class 12 or Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 50% aggregate are eligible for admission.

The application fee for all the courses of SRMIST is INR 1,200. Students have to pay this fee in order to submit their application form successfully. The total tuition fee ranges between INR 1.3 lakh and INR 3.8 lakh and is inclusive of the registration fee of INR 5,000.
