You can get admission in mechanical engineering at the SRM main campus with a rank of 26,000. However, last year's closing rank for the Chennai main branch was 31,000. You can take part in the counseling. SRM has more seats available for mechanical and civil departments. The Chennai campus of SRM is considered the best for mechanical engineering.

The CSE department at SRM main campus has 4,500 seats. Students who score above 95 percentile are given category A ranks, and students who score between 90-95 percentile are given category B ranks.

Yes, you can get admission for CSE in KTR campus with a rank of 17761 in SRMJEEE. You need to score less than 5k rank to get admission in KTR campus. You also need to have class 12th marks of at least 60%

With a rank of 12000, you have very less chances of getting Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Information Technology (IT) at SRM's main campus in Chennai. The expected cut-off for CSE at the main campus is around 9500-10500. However, you may still get CSE or IT at one of the other campuses of SRM University, such as Ramapuram, Vadaplani, Trichy, or Amrawati Modinagar.The cut-offs for SRMJEEE change every year and depend on various factors such as the number of students appearing in the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of seats available.

With a rank of 3600, you can secure a CSE seat in the SRM KTR Campus. The closing rank for the CSE branch in SRMJEEE 2016 was around 9,500 - 10,500. You can apply to the counseling process to secure a seat. Candidates with a rank between 2000 – 5000 can get Computer Science engineering course at SRM. You can also get IT or software engineering in the main campus. The competition for admission in CSE is high, even though SRM University offers a high number of seats in CSE.
