A student should have cleared their 10+2 with PCM/ AICTE approved three years engineering Diploma or any higher qualification in Science with Physics and Mathematics in order to pursue Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) and Commercial Pilot License (CPL) course. Candidates who apply for air hostess/ cabin crew course can apply if they have cleared their 10+2 (from any stream) or equivalent qualification.

The selection process for Certificate courses at Hindustan Aerospace and Engineering, Sha-Shib Group of Institutions is through the national-level entrance exam: SSAT. It is conducted by the Sha-Shib Group. The official website says,” The Sha-Shib Scholarship and Aptitude Test (SSAT) is a national-level common enrollment and scholarship exam for participating in an AME course at the top-ranked AME institutes under Sha-Shib Group that have received DGCA approval. Candidates seeking to participate in admissions  need to have passed [10+2] qualifying examination from a recognised Board/ Institute.They must also have a valid JEE-Main 2023 score.Candidates meet SSAT eligibility criteria if they have cleared their Class 12 with passing marks. Aspirants should have completed their Class 12 with subjects physics, chemistry and mathematics.Apart from this, candidates who possess a three years Diploma in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks also meet the eligibility criteria for SSAT 2024.
