SSC CGL Syllabus

The Staff Selection Committee releases the SSC CGL syllabus each year. The SSC-defined syllabus is the most important component of the Combined Graduate Level Exam. The Commission can ask any type of question from the given topic and hence the candidates are suggested to prepare all the aspects of topics. The candidates need to prepare all the topics mentioned in the SSC CGL syllabus because the Staff Selection Commission does not mention the weightage of the topics in the official notification. SSC CGL syllabus 2024 has four important components are Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will officially announce the SSC CGL syllabus 2024. The official notification will include details on the syllabus for the SSC GCL 2024. The Commission enumerated each item in the official notification; however, the relative weighting was left out. According to the official announcement, the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam 2024 is scheduled to occur in August and September of that year, adhering to the official syllabus. Recently, the SSC changed the entire syllabus for the SSC CGL and lowered the number of exam tiers from four to two. Furthermore, the Commission has announced that General Awareness and Computer Awareness are now part of the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam.

After preliminary testing, preparation for Tier-2 will come. Paper I (Sections I and II except Module II and IV) at Mains Exam will be conducted online and is objective multiple-choice type. The syllabus of the SSC CGL CPT (Computer Proficiency Test) includes the following topics:Basics of Computer: CPU, Functioning, Output and input devices, computer memory, memory organization, backup, windows explorer, and keyboard shortcuts.Internet and E-mail: Web Browsing and Searching, Downloading, Uploading, E-mail, and e-banking.Microsoft Office: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Basics of Networking and Cybersecurity: Networking devices and protocols, Network and information security threats, and preventive measures.These are the key areas that candidates need to focus on to prepare for the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) in the SSC CGL exam.
