The official notification mentions all the eligibility conditions for the SSC CHSL exam. The SSC CHSL eligibility criteria that candidates need to fulfil are: A candidate must be either a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/ Bhutan, Tibetan refugee, a person of Indian origin. Candidates who are between the age group of 18 to 27 years can apply for the exam. The education qualification required for registering for the SSC CHSL exam is class 12th passed.

A Diploma holder is eligible to apply for the SSC CHSL according to the educational eligibility requirements. The condition is that the Diploma must be equivalent to a 12th grade Certificate. A candidate must have finished the 12th grade in order to be eligible to apply for the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam. In addition, the candidate must be between the ages of 18 and 27. This exam is conducted for select Group D employees in the government. Hi there, The SSC CHSL age limit for the posts has been set at a minimum 18 years and a maximum of 27 years. The minimum educational criteria to write the SSC CHSL exam is to have passed the 12ths standard or an equivalent examination from a recognised university board. As per the SSC CHSL eligibility criteria, the candidate should have passed 10+2 with Maths/ Computer Science / Informatics Practices/ Computer Applications. So, 10+2 is a mandatory requirement for SSC CHSL. Hence, Diploma students completed after class 10th are not eligible for the SSC CHSL exam.
