If you are focusing only on engineering then I would recommend you to go for polytechnic first. The reason behind going for polytechnic is that you will be exempted from the entrance exam. Even you will not have to pay heavy fees for tuition. The second plus point is that you will be much more technically stronger than other students who will get into engineering after 12th.

Hi Dhanesh!
You can appear for SSC CGL exam only after graduation. So, anyway, it will take at least 3 years for you to become eligible for the exam. Here is the detailed information about the eligibility criteria:
1. For Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer, you should have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university. Desirable qualification- Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.

Yes,
Diploma holder can apply for jobs where minimum the eligibility is intermediate. You do not need any special document, you only have to attach your Diploma degree with the application form where you have applied.

Please follow these tips and tricks in order to successfully crack SSC JE exam:
1. Start doing the preparation at the right time so that you can have enough time to cover all topics of the syllabus nicely.
