The official announcement and the SSC MTS syllabus pdf are not released separately by the Staff Selection Commission. The candidates must draw out the curriculum using the official one. Candidates must copy and paste the subjects listed in the official syllabus. The official notice PDF and the curriculum PDF must be cut out by the candidates.Candidates should take note that the SSC MTS syllabus has been put together and is available for download here in PDF format.

For SSC MTS posts, there is no Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) is required. The PET/PST is required for the candidates who opted for the Havaldar positions. The candidates will be required to appear and qualify in the PET/PST conducted by the designated exam authority. Ministry of Home designate the exam conducting authority for PET/PST.There is a mandatory PET/PST for the Havaldar Posts. The candidates who opt for the Havaldar Post need to qualify in PET/PST both. The SSC MTS Havaldar PET/PST is conducted by the designated authority.

The candidates can easily crack the SSC MTS exam without coaching. There is nothing in the SSC MTS syllabus which is difficult to prepare. It is not essential to join a coaching institute to prepare for the SSC MTS exam. The candidates should refer to the standard books for each of the sections given in the SSC MTS syllabus. Lucent GK is a good book that can be referred to for the General Awareness apart from NCERT. The candidates should learn all the facts given in the Lucent GK. These facts will help in the factual questions in the SSC MTS exam. Apart from the Lucent GK, the candidates should prepare the Current Affairs to score better in the exam.The candidates should also read the newspaper to check the current government schemes which can be asked in the SSC MTS exam.
