The Staff Selection Commission increased the Total number of vacancies from 8,326 to 9,593. The Commission increased the SSC MTS vacancies from 4,887 to 6,144 through a Corrigendum to the official notification. The SSC MTS 2024 vacancies PDF will be released separately. The Commission mention the state-wise SSC MTS vacancies on the official website. The SSC MTS 2024 notification is expected to be released online soon. SSC MTS 2024 will be conducted as a CBE in October/November 2024.

The Commission allots the SSC MTS exam centre based on the choice of the candidates made in the SSC MTS application form. The Staff Selection Commission will not consider any request to change the SSC MTS exam centre after its allotment. The candidates can see that whether the Commission provide facility to change the exam centre in the SSC MTS application correction facility.

For SSC MTS posts, there is no Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) is required. The PET/PST is required for the candidates who opted for the Havaldar positions. The candidates will be required to appear and qualify in the PET/PST conducted by the designated exam authority. Ministry of Home designate the exam conducting authority for PET/PST.There is a mandatory PET/PST for the Havaldar Posts. The candidates who opt for the Havaldar Post need to qualify in PET/PST both. The SSC MTS Havaldar PET/PST is conducted by the designated authority.
