SSN College of Engineering follows the guidelines by Anna University for admission in engineering colleges. Here the admissions are given based on guidelines issued by Anna University for 65% of the total intake and is based on the marks obtained in 12th standard by the Tamil Nadu Board of students who are to domiciled in Tamil Nadu. The remaining seats are distributed under different categories. But these too are filled up based on merit of 12th marks only. You wouldn't ask this question in the first place if you really know about both SSN and PSG Tech. PSG Tech is a tier 1 college and SSN is a tier 2 college in placement, faculty, infrastructure, etc. Usually, the Chennaites who don't get PSG, GCT or CIT prefer SSN. I think both colleges provide almost equal exposure and opportunities and to answer your question - yes, PSG Tech is far better than SSN because of advantage of studying in PSG is that you will always have their brand name behind your back even after you leave the college.
