The eligibility criteria for getting an admission at SJCC for BCom require an applicant to have passed Class 12 from a recognised board of education. For admissions under Management Quota, applicants are required to have scored at least 65% in Class 12. Interested candidates must register for the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) of Mahatma Gandhi University to be eligible for seat allotment.

St Joseph College of Communication MA admission is entirely merit based on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the Bachelor's degree examination. Candidates who want to take admission to the MA programme must meet St Joseph College of Communication eligibility criteria. Candidates who have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised University can apply for admission to MA programme.

St Joseph College of Communication admission to the BA programme is entirely merit based. Candidates who wish to take admission to BA programme must meet St Joseph College of Communication admission criteria set up by the institute. For admission to BA programme, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised Board. Candidates who want to take admission to BA course through Management Quota must have secured minimum 65% aggregate in the qualifying examination.

Minimum mark required for admissions in Management quota is 65% for 10th, plus one and plus two. Admission will be confirmed only after proving that the candidate has scored above 65% marks for plus two.Applicants with less than 65% marks and completed Plus Two before 2023 will NOT be considered for admission in the Management Quota.   Admission to the seats in management quota will be based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination, performance in the aptitude test and the interview conducted at the college.   Those who seek admission in Management Quota should also register themselves in Mahatma
