No, the minimum eligibility criteria is just a boundary line but the actual cutoff is based on the merit of registered students in the academic year and seats vacant for the different programs.some seats are reserved for different categories quota so the cutoff marks is categories wise.The minimum eligibility is 50% in 10+2 for applying in institute but the merit list has minimum cutoff of 90-95% for general category and 85%-92% for OBC EWS and SC/ST with slight lower 78-84%.So, it's not possible to secure seat with minimum eligibility marks.

Campus life is more or less very much restricted by some general discipline guidlines such as dress code and timing and gender concerned. SJCC has around 750 students to manage.College is more concerned for there reputation and ranking so they bound the candidate by strict rule . Although Union Christian College has well maintained campus but St Joseph's College is more concerned in academic excellence.
