With 80.5% in Bihar board and belonging to the SC category, your chances of getting admission at St. Xavier's Kolkata look promising. The college considers marks obtained in the 10+2 examination for admission to undergraduate courses . However, the final selection depends on the college's cutoff ranks, which vary from year to year. I recommend checking the official website of St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, for the most up-to-date information on cutoffs and admission criteria.

At St. Xavier's College in Kolkata, the most recent cutoff for admission in 2024 for the B.A. (Hons.) in English with a Journalism specialisation is 85% in the 12th-grade exam. A strong curriculum that blends literary studies with hands-on journalism training is the program's main focus. Since the admissions process is tough, it is imperative that prospective students meet or surpass this cutoff. Those wishing to pursue a career in journalism find the college to be a desirable option due to its helpful faculty and reputation for academic achievement.
