Hi. Universities like Jawaharlal Nehru University select candidates through JNUEE entrance test, Banaras Hindu University selects candidates through BHU PET entrance exam, and the Indian Statistical Institute conducts its own entrance tests for the selection of students. Yes. Currently if you have a degree in mathematics, Statistics or economics is considered to be a boon. The current requirement for big data analytics, data analytics, business analyst and many more jobs on these lines require candidates to have a good knowledge in the above mentioned subjects.
