Please refer to the link provided below for details regarding details of eligibility for JEST exams. Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) is considered to be a National Eligibility Test (NET) by Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB). Aspirants who are seeking admission in PhD or Integrated PhD programmes in Physics or Theoretical Computer Science or Neuroscience or Computational Biology need to give JEST exam.

For your queries regarding admission in M.Sc, I'd suggest you to visit the Delhi University official website and check the criteria for the same. I think 50% seats in DU are filled on the basis of merit, I.e., your marks in graduation. (They have cutoffs for this.) And the rest of the seats are filled through an entrance test which is conducted by DU only. I'd suggest you to visit www.du.ac.in for more precise details.

Completion of B.A. (Honors)/ B.Sc.(Honors) in Statistics or Mathematics or graduation in a related discipline from a recognized institute
