UGCandidates can expect to receive login information within two weeks of submitting their application to Stony Brook. This information will enable the students to access their SBU Application Portal where they can monitor their application status and university decision. PGApplicants can expect to be enrolled four weeks after they submit their complete application for their intended programme of study. International students are given priority as they need to arrange their immigration documents to be eligible to study at Stony Brook University.

The application fee for UG is $50 and PG is $100. It is payable online through credit card and is non-refundable. Admission won’t be granted if the application fee is not submitted to confirm your application make sure to pay the fee on time.

International students taking part in MBA programs at SBU must follow the basic eligibility criteria and submit the following documents mentioned below:A GPA of 3.0 in prior academic work is required for admission. students with lower than 3 GPA could be considered in exceptional cases for conditional admission to the College of Business. As per the university, Stony Brook is test-optional for applicants for the year 2023-24. Stony Brook University evaluates the overall profile of a candidate while giving admission. A holistic review of a candidate's academic record including the overall grade point average (GPA) and strength of curriculum is looked into. Also, other academic and personal factors like co-curricular and community involvement or any special talents or interest of the student are considered while examining their profile for admission.

The GRE score requirement is applicable for some graduate courses offered by Stony Brook University. Candidates need to check the eligibility criteria for the graduate programs they are applying to and if it is required for that particularprogrammethen only they need to submit GRE General Test scores otherwise the university does not ask for GRE score.
