IELTS is undoubtedly the most popular English proficiency exam taken by international students wanting to study abroad and is accepted by most of the German universities. The minimum score requirement lies in the range 6.0 - 7.0. However, IELTS is not enough. You will have to take up the GRE exam as most of the top German universities require GRE scores for MS.

GRE exam scores are not a mandate for admissions in German universities. However, the top universities in Germany do require a GRE score for MS courses. Hence, you must take the GRE exam if you wish to pursue MS in Germany. Also, your GRE exam scores elevate your profile and help you stand apart from the crowd.

You can find many accomodation in the university itself or outside the university. There are many apartment and hostel near the univeristy which is available all the time. Living in the campus itself is much costlier other than outside the campus. I would suggest you to find the apartment and live in a group which reduces the expense. The monthly expense to live outside the campus is around INR 1.5 Lacs per month which is a nominal price.
