It should be noted that Sri Venkateswara Medical College (SVMC), Tirupati is mostly considered as a Second Tier Medical college. It is a reputed government institution, and faculty and clinical experience are quite good but the term tier-1 institutions is more related to AIIMS, JIPMER and selective state and central government medical colleges. SVMC offers quality education as well as health science training but it is not a tier-1 university, that is, it is neither a national ranking nor a premium university.
