Sri Venkateswara Medical College (SVMC), Tirupati: There are in total 250 MBBS seats available. These seats serve two purposes – state quota and all India quota with the majority of the seats under state quota. Generally, 150 seats come under the state quota other 100 seats are under the All India quota. It may be slightly different depending on the certain year of admission and the regulation by the medical education institutions.One should always visit the official website of the institute for the latest data.

Admission Process for MBBS for the 2023 session for the state quota in Sri Venkateswara Medical College (SVMC), Tirupati was 590 to 620 marks in the NEET UG exam for general candidates. For reserved categories, the cut-off was a bit lesser, ranging from 490 to 520 marks. Eligibility criteria for entry into the MD programme of SVMC, Tirupati is through the NEET-PG examination only. The candidates have to pass the NEET-PG exams first, including obtaining a suitable rank. It can, be said that admission to Sri Venkateswara Medical College (SVMC), Tirupati is not easy to get because it is a government medical college and there are limited intakes. Basis NEET UG rank, students are given admission and to qualify students have to perform very well under state and all India quota. For the general category inclusive of the home state quota, the NEET cutoff score is as low as 590-620 for admission in the year 2023. The cutoff may change every year, therefore admission may not be easy, especially for nonlocal candidates.

SVMC Tirupati is generally believed to be a good medical college for studies in India. It is a government college that is affiliated with Dr NTR University of Health Sciences and caters to the need of efficient MBBS and other medical faculties.
