As for December 2024, cutoff marks differ for admission into the B.Tech programme at Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) based on applicant category as well as course. Generally, a candidate should qualify in the Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by the Andhra Pradesh state council of higher education.The general category normally has cutoffs between 40 and 70 out of a total of 160 marks in EAMCET, while particular reserved category cutoffs may be somewhat lower.

At the moment, B.Tech placements are taking place at Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University."This is sub-par as far as placements are concerned for B.Tech students from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University and for students in this Dairy Technology program.Recently, during a placement drive, 25 students were placed with an average salary package of INR 2.40 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum). The highest paid per student was INR 9 LPA, while the lowest recorded salary was INR 4 LPA. The placement cell of the university has been actively working on improving job opportunities for not only B.Tech students but also those with diplomas.
