No. That is not true. Few companies have fixed criteria but there are other companies who do not consider student profile score except his CGPA- during MBA course. So, you need to work hard during your MBA course and score good in post graduation.

Yes. you are eligible. SNAP cut off changes each year. Last year it was 97.5 percentile approximately.

SNAP is entrance test to get admission into MBA courses in symbiosis affiliated institutes. Difficulty level of SNAP changes each year. To prepare for SNAP, you can refer any normal verbal reasoning, quantitative aptitude book.

Eligibility for Admission (Indian Students) in SIBM Pune is
Passed XII or equivalent course in any discipline from any recognized Board / Council / University with minimum 50% marks for general (open) category and 45% marks for students of SC and ST category.
Qualifying the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), Personal interview & Writing Ability Test of our centre. Indian students will be admitted on the basis of the merit list drawn out of the results of the selection process through SET and PIWAT (SET score 50% and PIWAT 50%).
