SIOM provides students with a specialised course in MBA In operations. The batch consists of around 130 students, with a good mix of freshers and experienced, as well as people from different sectors. The job roles provided by the companies are aligned to the operations profile. Your experience in the manufacturing sector will indeed be helpful, and you can leverage it during the placements. You have the opportunity to continue in manufacturing as well as you can look out for other areas. The details regarding placements are shared on our website.

MCA and MBA cannot be compared as they are very two different courses providing two different lines of careers. But an MBA degree will always be useful if you are already strong in your technical abilities and MBA degree would help you to earn a higher position in companies.

And of course, there is a lot of scope for freshers provided they work on their professional and managerial skills in these 2-years of MBA.

As you have two years of experience in logistics and two years of gap, at first, the main aim should be getting as much higher rank and percentile in entrance tests as possible. After that, preparing for interviews in whichever college you have applied. You have a good chance to get into SIOM if you want to with your experience in logistics.

Wait list 16 can be converted but category wait list will have a slight chance. If got converted you won't have any disadvantages being a fresher. Lot of companies do visit campus solely dedicated for freshers.
But, I cannot comment on conversion for wait list 16 because it will solely depend on the students who got converted in the first merit list who will be taking admissions. So, it will depend on that number.
