SET counselling is conducted for candidates who have cleared the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) and have secured a rank in the merit list. No, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) does not hold a centralized counseling process for BBA Admissions through SET. The role of Symbiosis University is to only conduct the SET exam and prepare the results. The role in BBA process is only sharing the result/scorecard of candidates with the BBA participating institutes that they have selected in the SET application form. The participating institutes prepare their own merit list and select candidates for admission basis the result shared by Symbiosis University. The minimum eligibility criteria for shortlisting is passing marks in SET. However, the selection is based on cut-offs fixed by the institutes. The institutes accepting SET scores inform students about their shortlist status via e-mail when the admission windows open. The SET exam is a computer-based test. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes (1 hour). The exam consists of 60 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The questions are from three different sections, namely Analytical and Logical Reasoning, General English General Knowledge and Quantitative Aptitude. Each correct answer carries one mark, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The total marks for the exam are 60. The detailed section-wise exam pattern is as follows:
Section 1: General English
This section tests the candidate's English language skills. It consists of 16 MCQs. The section tests the candidate's understanding of topics such as Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, etc. Section 2: General Knowledge
This section tests the candidate's general awareness of the current happening around the world. Candidates should study Current Affairs Sports, Science, Awards and accolades, Famous Personalities, Events, etc. To ace the section. This section also carries 16 MCQs. Section 3: Quantitative Skills
This section tests the candidate's Quantitative Aptitude. It consists of 16 MCQs. The section tests the candidate's knowledge of topics such as Arithmetic, Algebra Geometry, Trigonometry etc. Section 4: Analytical and Logical Reasoning Skills
This section tests the candidate's analytical and logical reasoning abilities. It consists of 12 MCQs. The section tests the candidate's knowledge of topics such as Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Analogy, etc.

SET cut-offs will be announced after the declaration of the result. The SET scores are accepted by the ten prestigious colleges of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and each individual institute releases their own cutoff after the results are announced. SET results are usually announced in the last week of May, for the both the sessions and other courses. Students can check the same on the official websites of the institutes. The students who match the cutoff criteria will be called for further selection process which includes Group Discussions and Personal Interview . Some institutes also conduct Written Ability Test as a part of the selection process.

Any candidate who have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board with a 50 per cent aggregate. 5% relaxation is given to students belonging to a reserved category, I. e. candidates who have secured at least 45 per cent can apply for the exam. There is no age limit to appear for the ATMA exam. Candidates who are awaiting the results of Class 12 can also appear for the SET exam, and can present the mark sheet at the time of admission. Candidates who have completed Class 12 or equivalent from any Foreign Board and have obtained an equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian University (AIU) are also eligible to apply for SET exam. The candidates who do not match the SET eligibility criteria will but have filled the SET application form will be disqualified. Their application forms will be rejected. Therefore, candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. The SET application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
