According to the review of a student of SSE : The placements were pretty decent. Many think tanks, ngos and research companies came. Also, the salaries were on an average 4+. Companies like Deloitte, Zs associates etc. Came for the placement. People got placed for the profiles of mainly Analyst and researchers.

Eligibility Criteria for SET 2019:
The aspirant must have cleared class 12th or equivalent examinations in relevant stream from a recognized board or university with minimum 50% marks ( 45% for SC/ST category students)
Candidates in class 12 or awaiting their 10+2 result are also eligible to apply but they will have to submit passing certificate by September 2018

I am not so aware about SSE but Shiv Nadar University's Economics department has one of the best faculty members. They are quite approachable and versatile with their research interests. They motivate you to pursue research through the OUR (Opportunities in Undergraduate Research) programme. I believe what gives SNU an edge over SSE is the number of options to explore. Not only the School of Management, Performing Arts and Humanities but an "economist" has the option to explore in the School of Engineering and School of Natural Sciences.
