Tamil Nadu Open University offers various courses that students can pursue after passing Class 10. Some of the courses offered are Vocational Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Fashion Design and Garment Making, Nutrition and Health Education, Diploma in Journalism, etc. 

Admissions are conducted twice between January and June. Admission to the courses is primarily merit-based. Moreover, the admission process is completely online. Hence, candidates can fill out and submit the application form via online mode through the Tamil Nadu Open University official website (tnou. ac.in). In addition, the university has set up 12 regional centres throughout Tamil Nadu to assist students in the application process.

TNOU offers 200+ programmes of study across various disciplines and skills at different levels from Certificate to postgraduate that are imparted through 13 academic schools, 5 support divisions, 1 media centre and a robust network of 515 learner support and service centres across the state. TNOU offers undergraduate, postgraduate, Diploma, PG Diploma and vocational Diploma courses across various specialisations.

Eligibility for Diploma in beautician:
1. The candidate should have passed 10th from any recognized board.
2. Final year candidates' can also apply.
3. The candidate must be of minimum 15 years age.
