Having less than 75% in your class 12th board exams can affect your chances of getting admission to NIT Trichy, but it is not the only criterion that is considered IIITs take admission without considering the 75% criteria. Home State Quota: It is applicable to candidates who have passed the 12th board examination or any other equivalent examination from a state. Other State Quota: This one incorporates all the states and the Union territories except the home state or province the candidate has applied from.

No, candidates cannot not join DMI  College of Engineering directly. The eligibility for BTech course offered by DIMCE, candidates should have 45% aggregate in Class 12. The admission for the BTech course at DIMCE is based on TNEA examination scores. The seat allotment for the BTech candidates depends on marks scored in the entrance exam and TNEA performance.
