Amrita DMC offers a two-year MA course in Mass Communication. This course is taught by the Department of Mass Communication. This course covers varied topics whereas the first semester of the course focuses on General topics like Critical Approach to Communication Theories, Applied Media Research, Qualitative Data Analysis for Social Science Research, etc. From the second semester onwards, the course becomes more specialisation-centric, which includes topics such as Technological Approaches to Television Journalism, Basic Photography and Videography, Digital Marketing Communication Basics, Advanced Photography and Videography, Newspaper Design and Magazine Production.
