No, direct admission to the Institute of Hotel Management Chennai is not available for most courses. Undergraduate programs such as B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration have a mode of admission that includes NCHMCT JEE examination, followed by counseling and seat allocation on rank basis. With 70% in CMAT, you've got a decent shot at both XISS Chennai and IMI Bhubaneswar, but it'll depend on a few things.First, check the cut-offs. They can vary each year, so don't stress too much if you're a bit below—both places look at more than just your CMAT score.Your profile matters too. If you've done well in your academics, been part of extracurriculars, or have some work experience, that'll definitely help. And remember, the interview round is a game-changer! Nail that, and you've got a strong chance. So yeah, don't overthink. Apply, give it your best, and stay confident.
