Obtaining admission to SASTRA University, Thanjavur, with a 70 percentile in JEE Mains may be difficult, particularly for in-demand fields like computer Science or electronics. SASTRA uses a special 70:30 ratio for admissions, taking into account both JEE Main results and 12th board exam grades. Depending on the level of competition that year, you might still have a chance in other engineering streams even though the percentile may not ensure a spot in the top branches. It's best to apply as soon as possible and look into additional choices inside the university's admissions procedure.

Many colleges in Chennai provide specialised BCA programs with an AI (artificial intelligence) concentration. SRM Institute of Science and Technology and Loyola College are two notable establishments. These universities provide AI-integrated BCA programs that emphasise machine learning, data science, and AI technology. As they prepare students for careers in AI and related sectors, they provide a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Passing the 10+2 exam and having a solid background in maths or computer Science are normally requirements for admission; other schools may also require entrance exams.

The admission in SASTRA University is based upon two streams:Stream 1: 75% marks of class 12 boards and 25% marks of JEE Mains is considered for ranking. 70% of the seats get filled with this stream. As your percentile I'm JEE Mains is less, your rank will get increased. If your class 12th percentage is around 90-95% and 80% in JEE Mains, then you have good chances to get into SASTRA University.Stream 2: Your rank is calculated based upon your class 12 percentage only. 30% seats get filled with this stream.
