As per the official TANATA exam pattern, the total duration of the entrance examination is 180 minutes. The candidates will have to attempt 100 questions within the allotted duration. During the initial 90 minutes of the exam, the candidates will have to attempt 60 objective multiple-choice questions and in the latter 90 minutes, the 40 drawing questions have to be attempted. No extra time will be allotted to the candidates to complete the examination.

TANATA question paper will be divided into two sections - Part A (Mathematics and General Aptitude) and Part B (Drawing Questions). Candidates will have to attempt multiple-choice questions in Part A of the TANATA question paper. Each question will have multiple options, out of which, the candidates will have to mark the correct answer in the OMR sheet. However, in Part B, the candidates will have to attempt drawing-based questions.

The authorities will release the TANATA exam pattern online at annauniv.edu. Candidates will be able to check the details on how the examination will be conducted through the TANATA exam pattern. Through the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to know information such as the examination mode, duration, sections, type of questions, marking scheme, etc. All candidates are advised to check the pattern carefully before commencing the preparation process.

The TANATA paper is divided into two sections - Part A consists of the Mathematics and General Aptitude section while Part B consists of the Drawing questions. The candidates will have to attempt 20 Mathematics and 40 General Aptitude questions within the initial 90 minutes. During the final 90 minutes, the candidates will have to attempt the 40 Drawing questions. All questions have to be completed within the allotted duration.

Candidates are advised to check the official marking scheme of TANATA. As per the marking scheme, the candidates will be allotted 2 marks for every correct answer. No marks will be deducted for incorrect answers. Since there is no negative marking, the candidates are advised to attempt as many question as they can so that they have a higher chance of securing the marks required for admission.

As per the TANATA exam pattern, the entrance examination will be held offline i.e., as a pen-and-paper-based test. The authorities will use no other mode to conduct TANATA. All candidates will have to mark their correct answers in the OMR sheets and submit it at the exam centres. To be prepared for the exam, the candidates are advised to check and attempt previous years' papers.
