Typically, the TANCET application process has a fixed deadline for submission of the forms. It's crucial to note that missing the deadline toi submit the TANCET application forms can result in disqualification from the entrance exam. Anna University does not facilitate any window to complete the registration and submit the form with a late fee. Typically, TANCET registration is facilitated for a period less than a month. In the 2023 session of TANCET exam, the registration process commenced on February 1 and the window was closed on February 28. Similarly, in 2022 exam session, TANCET registration was facilitated from March 30. While the registration process of TANCET 2022 exam was concluded on April 23. TANCET 2024 registration schedule may have a similar timeline. However, Anna University is yet to release the TANCET 2024 application schedule. Candidates can add the test city preference while filling the application form. One exam city can be chosen from the drop-down menu available inside the registration dashboard. The steps to complete the application process and choose the exam city preference is as follows:
1) Complete the one time registration
2) Login using email ID and password
3) Fill personal details
4) Fill educational details
5) Fill exam details, including test city preference
6) Upload documents
7) Pay application fee. Candidates can only choose once exam centre preference while filling the form.

Soon after the TANCET registration window opens, Anna University starts releasing the application status PDF. The TANCET application status PDF comprises the list of test takers who did not upload the images with the correct specifications or who failed to upload any image. Such candidates are allowed to access the TANCET login portal and make the required rectifications. Candidates are allowed to upload a new image with the correct specifications. Candidates failing to use the login to get the correct image uploaded are not issued the TANCET hall ticket.

TANCET application fee may or may not change across exam sessions. The application fee for TANCET was revised in 2023 exam session. Earlier, candidates had to pay INR 400 if they belonged to reserved categories and INR 800 if they belonged to unreserved categories. However in 2023 exam session, the fee for your categories and reserved categories was hiked to INR 1000 and INR 500, respectively. Since the exam fees was revised in the recent session, Anna University is unlikely to change the same for TANCET 2024. However, the application details along with the TANCET 2024 registration fee is to release soon.

Candidates can choose up to one exam city preference while filling the
application form. Anna University allots the exam centre within the preferred exam city or at a the nearest location to the city. However, choosing the exam city preference while filling the form will not guarantee allotment of the exam centre in that particular city. Anna University allocates the test centre considering the best possible comfort of the test takers. Anna University does not entertain any requests for change in the exam centre of exam city.

TANCET exam is conducted for admission to MBA and MCA admission. Earlier, the exam was conducted for admission to Engineering courses offered at PG level. CEETA PG 2023 came into existence with the scrappage of TANCET for Engineering courses. The space below mentions the number of candidates who have applied in th east three exam sessions of TANCET:

Candidates filling the TANCET application form need to upload scanned images of photograph and signature in a pre defined format. While uploading images, candidates must follow the below mentioned specifications:
Image Upload Specifications for Photograph
Height - 300px
Width - 200px
File Size: Less than 50 KB
Format: JPG
Image Upload Specifications for Signature
Height - 70px
Width - 200px
File Size: Less than 11 KB
Format: JPG
Besides the photograph and signature, candidates who belong to a reserved community must upload the community/category Certificate in a PDF format.

Candidates can complete the TANCET registration process in an online mode. Candidates meed not visit anywhere to submit the form offline or send the hard copy of the filled in form. Therefore, the registration fee payment is also done online. After filling all the details and uploading the documents, candidates need to click the 'Submit' button and pay the fees online. For online payment of TANCET application fee, candidates need the following details:
- Name on Card
- Card Number
- Expiry date
- CVV Number
Additionally, candidates will need the OTP received on the bank registered mobile number for payment verification.

Immediately after filling the TANCET application form, candidates print the filled-in copy of the application form. This printed copy of the TANCET application form must be kept for with the applicant for future references. Candidates need not send the printed copy to the TANCET conducting authority by mail or fax. The retained applications form will help in checking the discrepancies, if any, in the TANCET hall ticket. Additionally, admission authorities may ask for the application form copy for verification purposes.
