TANCET exam has a total of 100 questions across sections. Each question of the TANCET exam comprises four options. Out of all the available options, one is correct. Candidates choosing the correct answers option will fetch one mark. On the contrary, candidates choosing an incorrect answers response will lead to a negative marking of 1/3 mark. TANCET scorecard is released soon after the result declaration date. The scorecard download process is facilitated within a specified window. Candidates need to download the scorecard of the TANCET exam before the deadline is closed. TANCET scorecard is required at the time of Tamil Nadu MBA counselling process. Candidates failing to show the scorecard at the time of document verification are marked ineligible from the admission process. TANCET exam is conducted for admission to MBA and MCA admission. Earlier, the exam was conducted for admission to Engineering courses offered at PG level. CEETA PG 2023 came into existence with the scrappage of TANCET for Engineering courses. The space below mentions the number of candidates who have applied in th east three exam sessions of TANCET:

No. Applying for each college for admissions based on TANCET is not required. The Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, conducts the centralised counselling process for admission into TANCET colleges offering MBA and MCA courses. Candidates need to register for the Tamil Nadu MBA counselling on the online counselling portal as per the schedule. Subsequently, candidates will have to upload the relevant documents to get shortlisted for the TANCET rank allotment.
